The Goofy Games is an annual sporting event that was held from 1985 to 1991 at Walt Disney World.
In 2004 the Goofy Games was revived as Disney & ESPN presents: The Goofy Games.
During the revival, several new features were introduced, including team areas, for example, WABC owned what used to be a River country office building. They mostly used old locations to cut costs and for most locations, is the only time you can go to these.
The 7th season was modified in 2005 due to a CEO shakeup.
The 8th season had the River Country signage have the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse design of Goofy as a hint of the show's surprise premiere at Disney MGM Studios.

The Golden Goofy Championship are the top 2 competing for the grand prize to Disney World, it was introduced in the Disney & ESPN version due to issues with the rising popularity of cheating ballets.
